Come and Worship

To the faithful Christians of Pershing County,
      If you are a faithful Christian from the old Lutheran Churches before they merged into the ELCA or a former member of the Protestant Episcopal Church USA and you are dismayed or even appalled at the direction that these once faithful churches have taken; if you long for liturgy and biblical preaching instead of "Folk Masses" and self-help sermonettes; take heart! Here in the Buena Vista Valley, just below the ghost town of Unionville, is the Church of the Good Shepherd. We are of the old school and we believe, teach and confess that the Holy Bible is the true, inerrant, inspired Word of God!
      We believe, teach and confess that the Augsburg Confession and the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion are just as true and relevant as they were when they were first written! We cling to the belief that we are called and commanded to preach the Gospel to every living creature and we invite all who will, to come, hear the Gospel, repent and believe. If this is the kind of church that you have been looking for, we invite you to join us for the Divine Service every Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday and we invite all baptized Christians to join us.
