    Traditionally the parade is on Saturday during the Frontier Days weekend. There are five divisions and a "Best Overall" of the five. The divisions are: Corporate, Local, Organizational, Vehicle and Open (any entry that does not fall under one of the other categories).

    Parade line-up begins at the Pershing County Community Center, across the street from the hospital on 6th Street, at 8:30 a.m. The parade starts at 10 a.m. It follows Dartmouth Ave. - west to east and ends at the basketball court on the corner of Dartmouth and 14th Street (across from City Hall).

    There is no entry fee and all are encouraged to participate. Floats and parade entries are judged as they traverse the route, then plaques and ribbons are awarded in the park immediately following the event.

    Spectators returning to the Courthouse Park can participate in or watch the various contests and games, eat lunch or just sit in the shade with an ice cold beverage.
    Pre-registration for the parade is encouraged in order to facilitate the line-up process for entrants.
