  City of Lovelock
The City Of Lovelock was established in 1868. It is a community of approximately 2,400 people located 90 miles east of Reno along Interstate 80. Lovelock is two square miles in size. It includes three public parks; a skateboard park; a community swimming pool; a hospital; an elementary, middle and high school; a public library; a community center and many businesses ranging from feed stores to casinos.   Lover's Lock
Lovelock, Nevada, a place where friends, family and lovers come to forever lock their love. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, Lovelock adopted the ancient Chinese custom of symbolically locking one's love on a never-ending chain. Dedicated on Valentine's Day 2006, this custom has made Lovelock the nation's official love-locking destination. It is said that as long as the lock remains on the chain, love will endure.
